You can set these options on the V3.
In the adress book options, choose to only display "principal" number
Then in your list, you have one name by contact, even if there are multiple
numbers.
For each contact, in his options, define the "principal" number, if the one
by default is not the good one..

Well, legit or not, I just flashed my V3 with the firmware there to add
video to the phone and it works great.
Backed up all first of course but I had zero problems with the firmware
posted there.

OK,
- open your phonebook
- open the phonebook menu, choose option 'setup'
- on 'view', replace 'All contacts' by 'primary contacts'
Now on your phonebook, you ca 'set primary' number for each contact, ie the
one you want to use by default.
