I want to buy 2 x 256 MB PC2700 RAM for my AMD computer with Nforce2..

should I buy original or standard memory? or can I take the cheapest?

not sure what you mean by original or standard. But don't go cheap. Get some decent stuff - Samsung/Corsair/Crucial/Kingston/Mushkin, there are others.

I assume that you mean the branded RAM vs generic RAM. You better off with the generic RAM. It may cause problem in your system stability, spend a little money for at least a ValueRAM from manufacturers like Kingston, Kingmax etc. They give you quality assurance.

Plug & Play? How about Plug & Pray!
