It shouldnt matter, buti have the DVD as master. If it doesnt work, swap them around. There are certain drivesa round taht dont like being slaves (or masters)

The Very Hungry Caterpillar - George W. Bush's favorite childhood book.
Note: This book was first published a year after Mr Bush graduated from College.

yep, it doesn't matter. of course, if either one is all you have, set it to master. whichever one you use most i'd say put to 'master'

Whichever device will be WRITING during a cd to cd copy process (without going to hard disk) should be master.
Otherwise, it usually does not matter.

I had the exact opposite and it worked fine.

You will die.
If you are lucky you may last ten decades.
If you are especially lucky you will be
remembered for another 5 decades.

My CD-R is master, my DVD-ROM is slave. Works just fine.
