Can anyone provide some information or experiences with this mic?
There's a deal on MF on them. Looks like a good mic, but there's next
to zero info anywhere on them including AKG's site.
Thanks,
Gene

There's a typo in the advertising, it's accidentally listed as the D 900.
They even got it wrong on the mic itself!

Yeah, I caught my mistake quickly and cancelled the article, it just won't
go away! Now I'm kinda curious about the D 9000 myself...

Indeed. The D900 is a discontinued tube gun microphone. The C900 is a
condensor and the listing for the D9000 specifically states dynamic.
They would have had to mess up the model number AND the listing on MF.
This is drivin' me nuts. Has anyone even seen one of these D9000 in
person?

Is this a Guitar Center ad?
A few months ago, someone was asking about some kind of D112-variant that
was apparently only sold at GC. This may be another one.

That's a second instance, then. I'd bet that AKG is now making special
models of their mikes for sale only through GC.

Well, Musician's Friend IS Guitar Center, the mail order branch. But
at $80 for two mics, how can you lose? You're bound to find something
that they're good for even if it isn't the vocal mic you've always
dreamed about.
Pick up a couple of those $3 cables so when you decide to sell the
mics on eBay you can offer "Mic and cable." Don't bother with the $18
stand though, unless you plan to just use it as a place to store the
mic when you're not singing into it.
