After setting up my new Toshiba A-40 laptop to connect to the Internet
via the built in dial-up modem, installing Palm Desktop software killed the
connection and generates the 663 error.
Toshiba claims it is a Palm software problem. Palm says upgrade Desktop
to 4.1.4 - but to no avail, then Palm tech in India hangs up on me, and Palm
e-mail tech says reinstall the original software.
Does anyone -really- know how to recover from this Palm job?
