Harddrive crash, how do i get my files

Is there a way to get the files off the hdd? I've heard of software that can do it, but dont know which ones there are out there or ones you recommend?

What OS was you running?

Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.

If the drive still works but the FAT tables got deleted you can try GetDataBack for FAT or NTFS by Runtime Software.
