Nice Used Commercial 50" Pioneer Plasma Display FA, 2 days left. PDP-502MX

Really nice plasma display panel for auction on ebay. Please refer to the
auction for further information. No scam as someone asked. Check my
feedback if that is a concern.

Daren

Ahem. This thing isn't in my budget, but reading that, I looked
anyway.

I did, and I looked at the other auctions. In the most recent
feedback, this guy, dlpservices, "sold" one of these high-end displays
six days ago for $4000 in an auction with only one bidder,
boxofficedepot, doing a buy-it-now. Previous auctions that are still
on ebay are all buys (dlpservices is the buyer, NOT the seller) of
much smaller dollar ammount ($150 or less) items, the ones I saw were
camera equipment.

That buyer of the $4000 item also only has much smaller amount
transactions in previous auctions (click on Item # to see recent
auctions):

Why would both of these people all of a sudden make a $4,000
buy-it-now deal? Seems like a big jump.

I suspect both this seller (dlpservices) and the buyer
(boxofficedepot) to be phished ebay accounts, and the $4000 auction
was faked to give dlpservices "some credibility" with having sold a
high-dollar item.

Can someone tell ebay about these? I forget where the webform is,
and they don't take email submissions of fraud stuff...

No apology necessary, thanks for alerting us...

No need, someone here will contact ebay...

Another thing, I did a google groups search on
dlp502@earthlink.net, and ALL of his grand total of 19 Usenet posts
are just like this one, posted Dec. 26 2004, promoting this auction.

I think its legit. But who knows? The seller is accepting Paypal, and it
would be hard to hijack the ebay and paypal accounts, take the money,
and get away with it. E-mail him and tell him you'll pay him and pick up
the tv in North Carolina and see how he responds.

Hello Joe,

Thanks for the vote of confidence. The questions from Ben are good points.
Yes, I did have an auction previous to this one and it was sold with "buy it
now" but the buyer emailed me and said he was only putting in a $1.00 bid
and the auction ended. This guy has 5 bid retractions in 6 months. I used
ebays fraud alert and put him on my blocked bidders list. I also started the
next auction at $1995.00 and dropped the "buy it now" option, in hopes that
those type of bids wouldn't happen. Yes, I've been buying alot of camera
equipment (the last piece cost $600., not $150.00) lately to go with my new
Pentax DSLR, but in the past, I've sold quite a bit as well. Nothing quite
as expensive, though. I don't think my credibility should be an issue after
so many years on ebay & 444 feedbacks. Also, about the email, I added that
one because these groups fish for email addresses, so I made a new one to
throw away once I sell them. Try dlp24nospam@earthlink.net or
darenlpelletier@prodigy.net. I think my auction explains how I got these and
I know there are scams out there, but this isn't one of them.

Regards,

Daren
