I've been doing research on LCD panels for quite a while now, because I want to buy one but I don't want to get burned. Apparantly, the 172x is a great choice for gaming. However...

Battlefield 1942 only supports 1280x960. I read on another forum that there is a letterbox mode that will allow non-interpolated use of this resolution. Is this true, and does the 172x support this?
