Windows 7 does not support 4 1 audio device

Hello,
i have 4.1 surrounding system for my PC. it was perfectly worked when i had Windows XP, but now i have windows 7, now its not working properly.
Can any one solve this problem?

Have you upgraded the driver? If not, do so from the manufacturer's website. Next, go into the sound properties and select 4.1 surround (if you haven't already done so).

Have you downloaded and installed the latest audio drivers for Windows 7 as buwish said?
If not so do it first!
