I'm about to setup a RAID array in my new system and i need help with the stripe size/cluster size. I will be doing benchmarks over several settings for each, but need to know how.

1. What benchmarks should i run?

2. Since this is a new system, i guess i will need to put something on my hard drive in order to run the tests. Is this right? Nothing is on there at the moment.

3. Also, do i have to reinstall windows each time--windows will NOT be on the array. It will have its on independent hard drive.

I'm running windowsXP with a 3 Ultra160 hard drives in a zero array.

Thanks ahead of time.
