A friend lent me a couple backup copies of dvd movies, one on Verbatim DVD+R, the other on Fuji DVD+R. I played both discs flawlessly on my Panasonic DVD-CV51 once. The next time I tried playing them, I got a cannot read error. What happened?

I know enuff to be dangerous.

I solved the problem. I spritzed the disc with some LensCrafters lens cleaners and wiped it clean with a 100% cotton rag (perpindicular to the tracks, of course). Voila! They play. I guess keeping the discs clean is imperative.

Yes, I would try spritzing the disc with some LensCrafters lens cleaners and wipe it clean with a 100% cotton rag (perpindicular to the tracks, of course). Voila! They will play.
