I think the Macintosh has a better low end sound but I prefer that nice
upper-midrange crunch heard when biting into the Delicious variety.

But when it comes right down to it, it's just a matter of taste ;)

But I cannot help but feel that Solaris has more sparc in the top end.

a Western Digital drive sure has the classic Nashville sound.
Micropolis is better for East Coast/Urban styles, imo....

I find that doing mixes on NetBSD translate well to other systems.
