Can a 2 tb sata hard drive be installed on optiplex 745

No success getting windows 7 to install with 2 TB sata hard drive. It reads on BIOS but when installer setup for W7 it stops in the beginning with "required cd/dvd driver missing"; asking you to go ahead and remove your installer disk for that particular step only. Any help will be truly appreciated.
