Guys, I'm in a bind here. Got a whole new computer working and its awsome, except for one thing, you guessed it. I have an audigy 2 and the creative 6.1 speaker system on an ASUS A7N8X deluxe board. This means NForce2 chipset and the onboard sound (I know some people will scold me for this but I did disable the onboard sound for the creative card). The problem; I cant get my subwoofer to work. Unlike most of the forums complaining about the crap creative software I actually got my speakers to work and put out some great sounds on XP BUT my friggin subwoofer just sits there collecting dust. I have tried everything! Does someone out there have the magical step I have missed in my 10000 reiterations of installing this damn setup to get some bass from the sub(again, I have disabled the chip on the m/o).. Thanks for the help in advance guys!
Check the Surround Mixer to set your Crossover frequency. Meaning you want your sub to play frequencies below those you set and everything else goes to other speakers.
thats a good suggestion. Damn, never thought of that..I actually turned the crossover up but I guess it should be down. I would have thought that this would have been set automaitcally anyway but the box wasn't even checked in the console for this option meaning it was disabled. What the heck is that all about.
