Acer - Hardware Radio Switch

My Acer A5-471 has a keyboard shortcut to turn wireless off/on. I replaced the radio with an Intel Centrino 2230 with Bluetooth and the latest drivers. Now when I do the kb shortcut only the Bluetooth toggles off/on and the wi-fi never turns on. Does anyone know how I can get the radio to turn on?

The radio will not turn on when the blue tooth is on.

The radio will not turn on period. I think it has to do with the Acer Launchpad.
