HP7960 article

I just read the printer/scanner article for the HP7960 on toms and I'd like to make 1 glaring observation. I just bought one and I love the printer, I like the card readers built in but I noticed one issue. The flash readers have to be updated. The CF reader only finds cards up to 256MB. I tried it with my 1GB kingston CF. No dice. HP should put a disclaimer in the specification section of the printer. Also Toms hardware should include an update to their article and test it. With the ever increasing capacity of flash memory this feature on the printer may well be obsolete in 6 months when the memory norm. may be 512MB.

Read the article as well but didn't find it at all helpful. The glaring problem i have with the article is that it compares the high end HP with the low end canon. Grr. Have yet to find a good review of the current high end Canons which i'm thinking of buying.

Windows is like a house of cards... One wrong move and it all comes crashing down.

I'm not quite sure how that would make the review unfair. Unless your saying there's just no way the HP can hold up to higher end canons.

From the quality comparisons i saw in the review it appeared the HP blew away the low end canon and epson by a long shot in the quality comparisons...not a surprise considering the HP is a good 2x the price of the canon it was compared to.

Personally i wish they had some higher end canon quality tests here. I own a canon i850 that i want to upgrade since i've been getting more and more into digital photography and i'm looking to get a dedicated digital photo printer. Been leaning towards a Cannon I9100 or the upcoming I9900 which comes out in may but i've never seen a comparison to know just how much quality i'd gain from that upgrade or over a HP7960.
