Just recently started that once in a while when i start my computer, it will begin starting
just fine for a couple seconds then everything just shuts off. Try to turn back on and
nothing happens. Wait a couple seconds sometimes and then it will fire back up and do the
same thing. After a couple more tries it will get past this and stay running just fine.
Next time i try to start my machine it sometimes does this crazy thing again...sometime
it will let me pass with no problems.
Could my 300W ATX power supply just be going bad on me? The fan is spining just fine
in it.
Its possible its the PSU, it also sounds somewhat similar to the occasional boot problem i have with my epox board.
I have buckets of power (550W enermax) but sometimes the bios tosses a fit.
Push the button, it powers up, only to powerdown 5 seconds later.
To solve this i press the reset button while its powering up. Try it for yours, see what happens.
