My delta fan is starting to annoy me... so i'm thinking of getting a new fan.. but i don't wanna spend that much of money again for another CPU cooler. Cna i just use the Swiftech Heatsink .. with another fan?? (maybe silent one??)

no problem. you can even use a larger slower fan. cooling performance will suffer but it will work fine.

my computer is so fast, it completes an endless loop in less than 4 seconds!

Yes... your HSF will probably have a 80mm fan, so just get a more silent one.

My dual-PSU PC is so powerfull that the neighbourhood dimms when I turn it on

Just make sure you have the correct fan size for the heatsink.

Get at thermaltake smartfanII....it will put out just as much air and it has an adjustment knob where you can turn the rpms up and down and even a temperature sensor if you want to go that route

I have good experience with SANYO DENKI fans. It is also use for Intel retail CPU. It is very quiet.

Yep. no hastle at all. Just unscrew and replace.
Ive got a MCX-462 and ive tried every from the 5000rpm delta screamer to a 2000 silent panaflo.

The panaflo is good, as is a Smartfan2 thats temp controlled. very nice. Not too loud either!

can you tell me exact spec of your fan??

like its RPM .. stuff like that... thanks

Well first i tried the Delta fan:
4900rpm, 45dBa, 68.5cfm.
That was waay too loud. Next i tried a pabst fan:
3600rpm, 34dBa, 45cfm.
That wasnt bad, but still too loud.
Recently, when i got my shiney new aliminium case and overclockable cpu i tried a really low speed fan, The Panaflo:
2000rpm, 21dBa, 24cfm.
It is one SILENT fan!
Probably the best allrounder is the Smartfan2, as it varyies according to the temp of its probe. with the probe stuck to the copper block of my heatsink it usually varies from 2500 to 3500rpm. With quite decent noise levels.

Mind you, even the panaflo worked well with my XP1700+ overclocked to 1833Mhz @ 1.70v (25% OC)

how can you OC that much with the panaflo ??
what is your setup??

Reply to taiwoong

simple. very tiny amount of arctic silver and a big-ass heatsink.

Since then though ive swapped out the panaflo for the variable speed TT smartfan2 cauz its summer here.

temps are more stable with the smartfan cauz ive got the temp sensing probe attached to the copper block.
