Need Help, Print Spooler Won't Stay Active????

Hello,

I have Windows XP Pro. I cannot add, install, or use a printer becasue the print spooler won't stay active. I went into admin tools, services and set Print Spooler to Automatic. If I manually start it, it starts, but then seconds later it stops. I go back into admin tools, it says automatic, but is off.

I've searched Microsoft's Knowledge base with no luck. It sucks not being able to print, can anyone help???
