i have been having problems with my plexor 40/12/40A. i use easy cdc 5.3.2. when making a data cd my buffer ranges are low...0% to 12%...and my write slows to about 12x though it seems slower than that. i get full performance in disc copy and sound stream. what could this be? ...and more importantly, how can i fix it?
thankx

Just out of curiousity, what kind of mainboard and processor are you using?

That is strange, full performance sometimes but not when burning data from the HD.

Are there any errors listed in the EZCD log file?

Is DMA enabled for both your CD Writer and your HD?

Is your writer on a different IDE channel than your HD? It should be.

Do you have a virus scanner running in the background? This could slow things down when dealing with data. Try turning it off while burning.
