Hi, I've been running RCA from my DVD player to the live drive on my Audigy card. Today I bought an Optical cable to hook up to it to get better sound. My problem is that I cannot get any sound out of it. The RCA still works, I've unmuted everything on the sound options, and the speakers are turned on. I doubt the cable is bad since it is a monster cable. Any help here would be great.

Is your system stable enough you'd run your own life support on it? ---mine is. Soyo KT333 + AXP 1900+

go to your audio options on your dvd player, some and change the signal out from the rca to the digital.
