After all my recent upgrades I finally got around to re-installing Norton AntiSpam.
Toms sure looks different without all the banner ads!!!
Flashing banners are a real distraction.
Also I have never bought any of the advertised products or visited their websites from any of the banner ads THG uses.

Yes it does. What do you call the window that opens directing you to Tom's Hardware Advisory Panel?

The forum perv wants to know if you would like to have sex with Britney Spears?

Damn right. It's so simple and well integrated, plus it allows for instant searching and other things, including a simple pop-up blocker.

Run NetScape. It has a built in Pop Up blocker. All you have to do is check the box to block them... Been running it for years...

Firefox works fine, built in popup blocker and unlike Internet Exploiter quite secure as a default install.

Amen brother ... Firefox rocks - no pop ups - if banners are there, I don't notice them ...

I love firefox, i used to use opera but i don't like paying for things and hate banners (space consuming banner for free version) so back to IE. Finally found firefox after I read the government doesn't even want us to use IE. Thats not good when the government specifically says not to use something.
