Media center keyboard

hello friends

Ok, so my dad bought an HP media center pc and didnt want the keybaord. I plugged it in to my homemade computer and some of the media center buttons (like volume control) seem to fuction. However, most of the special keys dont do anything. I was wondering if there is some sort of keyboard programming utility out there, so i can set custom functions to these buttons.

any advice?
