Does anyone knows which chipset the Genius SM Live 5.1 and genius SM 4.1 cards use? ive heard they use C-MEDIA 8738 also heard they use FM801AU which one is correct?.
Any help would be appreciated

You are correct, they use either chip. I **think** they use C-media now, because the driver support from ForteMedia for the FM801 was pathetic. Check the card carefully if you intend to buy.
