I am using Sound Forge 7.0b.

Whenever I use the spacebar to play back regions quickly SoundForge 7.0 b
is crashing and causing my Laptop to immediately shutdown.
This has also happened when using midi triggers for markers. I have
triggering set to ch. 16 note on - play, note off - stop.

Using Windows XP Pro w Service Pack 2
HP zd7000 Pentium 4 at 3 GHz w 768 Mb RAM
Plenty of Hard Drive Space
M-Audio FireWire 410 Interface

As there are zillions of XP SP2 installs of SF7 that work just fine (I have
3), I would guess that your install is broken. Try uninstall/reinstall .
If this doesn't fix, suspect something broken in Winders - try Nortin
WinDoctor or similar. Or most likely given the total crash it could be your
soundcard device driver.

Have you tried Sony tech support ?
