Is it true that I can use a serial cable to connect two computer together to share file, and printer and internet? If it is true, what is the name of the cable that I should get to do this. Thank You.

Serial port is very slow. 2 NIC an a crossover cable give you much better performance.

I know that. But sometime, I just bring a computer home and I want to transfer some files over to my computer before I do anything to it. So, tell me the best way to do this.
