Hello,
I have a VM running on a laptop. I wanted to use bridged connection on VM to be able to access other computers in the network and internet.
The problem i have is whenever i use laptop not connected to LAN i do not get the ip for the VM.
What would be my options to solve it?
My first gues was 2 separate networks 1 bridged and one host only. Does this make sense?
Is there simplier way of doing this?
Please help.P

Yes this makes sense, you would be using the same network configurations for the VM as you would if you were setting up a virtualization server with nova. Bridge the connection so the VM looks as a seperate computer on the network thus allowing physical computer abilities among the network. Check out this thread.
