Got a Mortorola V551 that went sour. They sent a new one but now I wonder if
you can get the pictures from the old phone to the new phone and if so how?

Hi,
Depends on how sour.

If it is putrid, the chances are almost zero.

If the phone is only a little sour (phone powers up but makes no
calls), you can probably buy Mobile Phone Tools (MPT) and USB Cable on
ebay cheap and transfer them to your PC.

USB cables are cheap on ebay. Instead of MPT, you can also use freebies
such as PST, P2KTools and MotoKit. From my experience with the 551, MPT
is the quickest.
