I've (finally) come to the conclusion that, due to background noise / no soundproofing (or ability to put any up), etc. - live recording where I live atm, is not an option. This means that, although after I move in the next year or so, it might be possible, until then I will have to rely on midi for input.
However, I have no idea which would be the best soundcard to get for this purpose. I'm planning to speak to the guys at Millennium Music in Nottingham anyway, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas??
(At least speaker wise I'm sorted now - I finally got most of my Hi-fi sorted out - (I have a friend who runs a local 2nd hand / new hi-fi shop) - A NAD 251 CD Player, NAD C320BEE Amplifier, with Acoustic Energy Aegis 1 speakers and decent cabling... And running the sound from the computer through it shouldn't be a problem... Just need to build up a decent CD collection, now...:-) ).

Exactly what are you hoping to do with this setup? Most soundcards support MIDI through the game port, and MIDI by nature supports 16 channels per port. You can get an adapter at a number of music or computer stores. Also, are you looking for a MIDI interface with mutiple ports, and are you really looking for a card that supports both MIDI and audio, since MIDI is just an instruction set?
Edit - I just remembered that the St-Audio DSP24 w/ DSP3000 M-Port you wanted to get also had MIDI in/out, though I can't remember if it was one or two ports.
