Get a copy cheap of motorola phone tools from eBay. This program was
designed by motorola and will easily recognize your phone and its
options.

Don't worry about version number as the program allows free updates.

You will need the USB cable SKN6311B to plug into your phone multi-port
on the bottom of the phone. The

Software allows sync to computer, outlook, edit and creation of
ringtones, pictures, phonebook, etc. It also includes editing programs
for these programs as well.

I have a v551 (version j) and it works flawlessly. If you want you
could also connect using Bluetooth but I was not going to spend the
money on it as a USB connection was enough for me.

The program allows you to program all motorola phones and will even
backup your SIM card and all phone settings.
