I found the Other section because a thread I posted in, which was criticizing the childish bickering of the age old AMD vs. Intel debate, was moved here from the CPU forum. I believe my first non-computer related post in the Other section was a "do you believe in god" thread.

I don't have a problem with being friends with anyone here, as a matter of fact I have friends here and I know it, and they know it, DH just isn't one of them, its no secret that we disagree on just about every subject known to man, but personally this prejudism towards Eden has been going on for quite a while now, I've had and seen enough of it.

I've had gay friends, and never insulted them and ripped on them for being gay, where do you get, thats OK, and acceptable behavior, to me thats childish schoolyard behavior, the same kind of behavior that jeers at someone because their skin is a different color, or they don't have a home to live in, or they're handicapped or disfigured. What you do with your brother is not the same thing you'd do to someone on the street you'd never met before, unless you're stupid, cause they may haul of and knock your teeth down your throat, so that example is irrelevent here.

Although Eden and dh are not personal friends, it appears that their online relationship makes the way they communicate different from just being strangers on the street.

My brother routinely calls his friends by their applicable racial slurs, and they reciprocate. It's all in good fun, and it's all accepted by those involved, therefore -> not a problem. Unless Eden seriously has a problem with dh ripping on him about gay stuff, what business is it of yours?

Consider this though, DH won't even accept racial slurs as jokes when both parties are accepting the "trade" of names.

I don't always mind the jokes on me, but recently I've been having a change of opinion on it, as it's becoming tired, and in the past, we used to all do those jokes at each other (ya know, tempt each other kinda like Rob would do on Wingy) rather than just rag on me especially. As well, I'm swinging lately between tolerant and pissed off, with DH, so not everything he says as jokes passes through my head like it should. And by tolerant I do mean "on the limit accepting".

The only jokes on a gay person, that I found funny and that they would prolly be accepted very well with the gay person, are those found on Will and Grace. They don't attack far, they just use pretty funny names that aren't really offensive per se. Then again the two main characters playing gays also are quite proud of it in the show.

I especially liked the Dr Queer Medicine Woman thing, LMAO!

But I admit I've seen it gone too far here, and would've liked to speak up when it happened. I guess I let go of a lot of things for the sake of friendship stability.
