As I am finishing up researching different parts for my gamer, A horrifying thought: I forgot to add in an operating system! I just hate to have to spend another 100 dollars for one but I know I have to. Any ways to get one cheaper? keep in mind that it is a gamer, so I will need to get a recent one. NOTE: I do not exactly make money as fast as other people, (I am 13) so keep in mind an extra 100 could set me back months.

Another option, quite a bit riskier, is using the pre-release copy of Windows 8.
I'd class that option as 'emergency measure'. Win8 is running pretty good for me but Im not sure how a full on gaming rig would handle it.
It probably won't hurt to try. It's a temp measure - you'll need to buy a copy eventually, but that could get you through the summer and into early fall.

yea but he is still limited in gaming if he wants to play anything else especially anything that comes out in the future. add the fact that linux is not as user friendly as windows
