Internet explorer gone from computer

Internet Explorer icon has gone from computer. I tried to download another version, but it says it is already installed. I cant find on my pc. Help!!!!

Look in Program files.

You have Windows 7?

Go the program uninstall window and click the "Turn Windows features on or off." button (left hand panel).
There should be a checkbox that says internet explorer. Check that and hit ok.

If that box is already checked, uncheck it, hit ok, restart your PC, check it, and then test it to see if it works.

Hello. I have a very similar problem. Internet Explorer does show under 'Turn Windows features on or off", but, no matter how many times I check the box and restart, the box remains unchecked. When I do a search for it, it is not found. The progam file is still there, though. I tried pinning it to the start menu, I tried to reinstall it but it said Ialready have it.

Any suggestions on what to do from here?
