Does anybody know the model of this microphone shown here:
http://usera.imagecave.com/johnnysama/microphone.jpg

It was used on the TV game show Jeopardy during the 1980s and for most
of the 1990s- anybody have a clue what the maker and model of that mic
is?

Thanks.

** The pic is not clear enough for a positive ID .

A mic it resembles is the AKG C5 capsule mounted on a co-axial extension
with the 451 pre-amp at the base.

The picture looks to me like an AKG C451 with the stalky "active cable"
thing and a windscreen.

These were really very popular mikes. They were inexpensive and had a
wide variety of different gadgets available like screens, different capsules,
and active cables and swivels, so you could mix and match things. Probably
the only thing even like it today is the Schoeps system.

Here's a better picture of the microphone - is this the AKG C451?
