Troubleshooting System crash from Terratec

Hello - I recently built a system for multi-track audio recording. I have a few crashes per day during audio playback or recording. I get the "Driver IRQL not less or Equal" on the blue screen. Among the addresses and stop messages on the blue screen, I also see ews88wdm.sys - Address ..." This is clearly referring to my Terratec EWS88MT's WDM drivers. However, from digging around on the internet a little, my impression that the "IRQL not less or equal" message normally occurs when two devices share an IRQ. My hardware profile lists the Terratec soundcard alone on IRQ 17 (and the video card is alone on 19).

Terratec's only advice was to try the soundcard in a different PC. Gee thanks - after I built this PC just for audio and after I emailed you for hardware compatibility suggestions before I built my new PC.

In case it helps, here's the vital information on my system: motherboard - ASUS A7N8X Deluxe (the nForce2), Athlon XP2000+ processor, 1024 MB DDR 2700, Matrox G450 video card.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Try putting a card in a different slot?

That should work if an IRQ is a problem...
