Looking for the "right" fit for this compressor. Anyone out there find a
magical combination? Price isn't really an issue, but price doesn't always
dictate the right answer. Of course I'll try a variety of EQ's to see what
sounds best to me, but any shortcutting you guys can throw out there would
be nice. I wouldn't mind staying tube all the way up though.

You owe it to yourself to try the Great River Mercenary Edition EQ-2 NV.
I predict you will forget all about tubes. I've not heard such a sweet
EQ in so long that I might not ever have heard such a sweet EQ.

Hank's suggestion of a Great River EQ-2NV is a good start. Definitely
should check out a Drawmer 1961 if for no other reason than it was
designed to compliment the original Drawmer 1960 that the 1969 evolved
from (though arguably the 1969 is so different from a 1960 that point
may be moot). But the 1961 can sound sweet, & they're chock full of
tubes for a reasonably affordable price, if that matters. (Tubes or
price.) Also check out the Millenia NSEQ-2.
