I have an Asus A7N8X, an Athlon XP 2100+, and 512 Megs of memory. The memory is an OCSystem "2-6-3 timing with CAS 2 setting" type module. Can someone tell me what to set the bios settings at for this memory? I'm not sure.

I ran Sandra 2002 Standard, and got a 2002/1909 Memory Bandwidth Benchmark. This is driving me absolutely crazy. I thought that I'd get a much higher score. One of the Reference boards got a 2890/2705. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

it's because you are running your buss in sync at 133MHz drop the multiplyier to 12 and up the buss to 166 that should get your score to about 2600 i think you should be able to get your fsb to run stable to about 185MHZ at 11...

overclocking is an option as always...the pc3200 should be able to run stably at cas 2-5-2-2 with even some hefty overclocking but you may have to bump up the memory voltage to maintain stability....messing with your cas latencies will do no harm and if you accidentally set it too low and your system will not start...all you have to do is clear the cmos which will reload default bios settings...also make sure you have all your latest board drivers installed etc

Hmmm... I tried what you said, but it wouldn't work. I put the multiplier to 12, and the bus speed to 166. The bios said that the bios settings were set incorrect, and that I had to push "del" to go into the bios and correct the settings. The XP 2100+ isn't a 166 bus is it? It's a 133x2 isn't it?

Thanks!

In the 1 place it better to keep thing sync your Pc3200 will never be sync with any AMD produce for the next 6 month or never.
