RIMM Memory

Hello

I got a question about RIMM (RAMBUS)

I have a Asus P4T-E motherbord which uses RIMM memory.
I now have 2x128 mb and I just got am extra 256 mb but I can´t get it to work. So here are my questions:

Do you have to have same size (128 or 256 mb) in all the slots?
Do they always have to be in "pairs"?
What slots can I use?
Is it possible to get my stuff to work or do I need to change? (ie buy an extra 256 or get 2x128 instead)

Thx
/H

  1. RIMM must be pairs. Same size.

It's always the one thing you never suspected.
  2. you have to buy to stick of 256 mb even if you allready of two stick.

2 or 4 stick only exception to P4T533 that can use only 1 to 2 stick

Just next to the lab and the bunker you will find the marketing departement.
  3. just buy a others 256 Mb stick i suggest that you put the 256MB stick in channel 1.also get the compagny and the same speed steping try to get the same thing as much as you can

Just next to the lab and the bunker you will find the marketing departement.
  4. Yes you need pairs. I suggest getting another 256MB module. If you think you don't need that much, you can resell te 2 128MB sticks.
