Hi,
A friend of mine has an old compaq notebook (its like a P133). What has happened is that the connector pin on the laptop itself has become lose. This is the pin that connects to the AC adapter to recharge it. It has not come out, but is lose enough to be moved around by hand. Due to it being lose, it can't make a connection to charge the battery. We were going to take a look at it from the inside but of course Compaq has a metal plate bolted over most of the MOBO and we can't get by it. We have taken every piece off possible to get it in there. They $600 bucks to fix it. For $600 bucks he could get a better laptop which is why if the repair fails it's not a big loss. I was wondering if anyone has any idea on how to fix this. Any information would be appreciated. It's a Presario 1210. Thanks.

Actually it would. Is it an Armada? Presario? possibly a "1520"?
