I have hp2420 laser printer (not with Ethernet option) loaded on Windows XP and I have new computer Windows 7 64bit I can see the printer but am not able to load that. I have down loaded the driver from HP site and loaded on 64Bit computer.
1. shall I load that driver on 32 bit system? if yes will that mess up the connection to other 32 bit system.

Just confused Need guidance.

Hi :)

32 bit system = 32 bit drivers
64 bit system = 64 bit drivers (WHICH ARE DIFFERENT)

All the best Brett :)

You cannot install 64 bit drivers on a 32 bit system, or vice versa. Windows will not even let you do it. Your 64 bit system needs the 64 bit drivers, and the 32 bit system needs the 32 bit drivers. They do not need to match to share the printer.
