I have a Webstar modem and an SMC 7004BR router.
Every so often - almost always now - the recieve light on my modem simply goes off and the send light keeps blinking. When this happens I experience huge ping in my games and horrible download speed, I cant even watch youtube.
I tried removing the router from the loop so its modem > PC directly and the problem still persists, even tho the quality seemed to improve a bit but the revieve light is still off and the send one blinking.
I tried changing the Ethernet cable to a new one, it still persists.
All the other PCs seem to be working just fine on the network.. So Im pretty sure theres nothing wrong with the modem itself.
I am running Win7 x64, i5-750, P7P55D-E mobo.
