My Laptop will not connect to the Internet

I've been having this problem for a week now. Out of the blue this has all come up.

My computer will notice my Wireless router, but will keep cycling and saying "no internet access", yet it comes up with full bars of connection.

I've tried re-installing Wireless drivers and that didn't work. My wireless internet is working on my Mac, iPhone, iPad & Mums laptop.

I am using a Dell Inspiron 15r N5110 .

I am typing this is off my Laptop using my Personal hotspot from my iPhone

The hot spot is connected to the laptop by the wireless adapter or by blue tooth ?
It makes it strange when one device won't connect to a router and others will , is the wireless adapter turned off by any chance ?
Can you cannect the laptop to the router by ethernet cable to test the fact that it can connect to the router ?
