Is it possible to hook up two pc's to one usb controlled ups? I need to perform an orderly shutdown on two industrial pc's mounted in the same cabinet. I'm a bit worried about trying it due to the fact that a simple usb hub is powered from a pc's usb port and I would have two pc's connected to the hub.
If that won't work, both pc's have available serial ports. Is there some type of serial splitter that will feed the the shutdown command to both pc's?
