Wireless Router causing downloads to stop at arbitrary points.

Ok so the problem is that when I am using my Netgear WGR614v9 router and I try to download a large file from a website the connection drops out at random spots could be at 371mb out of 401mb or at 11mb of 401mb. I move my computer between home and work (currently at work where the problem is) and I have none of these issues on my home router when using all the same hardware on my PC, also this happens on my laptop while at work.

So I am pretty sure it comes down to the router. I have tried changing channels in the wireless settings for the router but that did not help, also tried security settings but that didn't help either. I also tried shutting off anything else that was connected to the router but the problem remains.

Any ides ladies and gents? Any help is appreciated!

If it helps it seems to happen on sites where I need to be logged in to download, such as I purchased a program and am downloading it from their website, or another place it happens is in a private forum when I try to download a video that is in a private section.
