I'm playing Sacred with the sacred plus addon (to version 1.8.26 i
think, the latest version) and I'm having a wierd problem. every once
in a while when i step through a portal i end up on a desert island at
the most southern portion of the map with no way to escape so I have
to reload. any idea why this happens? it' snot all the time, just
maybe 25% of the time. Is this a bug? anyone else experience this? any
workaround of some way off the island that I am missing? there are two
seraphim (i think) too, but they won't talk to me, just spout
one-liners.
thanks.

This is a copy protection feature. Either your CD is pirated, or the
drive has a problem. What version is your game? If both cases don't
apply, please contact Ascaron.

Ah, Information. A property, too valuable these days, to give it away,
just so, at no cost.

Well I guess that makes sense then, I'm using a no-cd patch with the
game. It's a legal copy, but I do this with all my games since I play
many at a time and hate swapping CDs which happens often due to my
short attention span :)
It's the first time I've seen anything like this, interesting, and
annoying. Oh well, I guess I can't complain, thanks for the
information, though. Time to go back to the original executable.....
