Hello!

I recently moved into the UK from Sweden, and I´m currently trying to sell my MSI GX660R Gaming Laptop. ( Due to lack of ££ )

Specs:

i7, 6gb ddr3, 1tb hd ( 2x500GB Raid-0 ) and Radeon 5870 mobility graphics, 15.6" fullHD screen.

The condition is near-mint and theres a carrybag and zalman-laptop cooler included.

What do you guys think I can get for this laptop? I have been trying to sell it for £750.

Thanks for any answers!

Cheers Max

*I only have it listed on Gumtree

you will get far more interest on ebay--though you will have to pay fees

£750 sounds reasonable as i think that models about £950 in the uk

Yeah I think the price is right, might drop it a bit though well c. I just need to get rid of the computer since its way more than I need right now - I cant really afford luxurious gaming pcs atm :)

Thanks, but that one is the cheap version with i5 etc :)

Well, lowered the price to 725 will try Ebay in a week or so if Gumtree fails me.

if you do ebay i would recommend doing collection only and cash only--saves the paypal fees

and helps to avoid posting it to some plum that says it doesnt do this or that doesnt work

etc--i always carefully check everything i sell on ebay but still had a few of those and the

worst thing is ebay will make you give a refund and pay the return post as you have no way

to prove it worked perfectly when you posted it

might be tempted myself its a nice bit of kit --what postcode area are you in

Got some recent news, I actually contacted a website: http://www.millraceit.co.uk/ and asked them what price they were willing to take my laptop for. They mailed back saying £700, but they need the pc for "inspection" 3-5 days before I get payed. A courier could come and pick it up. Anyone know anything about these sites or am I merely starting to fall for a scam, albeit a kinda good one? :)

was sorely tempted--but i have so much pc stuff already i really need to stop buying stuff

i have seen millraceit selling laptops and pc stuff on ebay so my guess would be they give you £700 and put it on ebay for £900 to £950

they can afford to wait to get a buyer--dont know how happy i would be handing it over to a courier though--how would they pay assuming they are satisfied its all fine--and does the courier give a detailed receipt? is it insured while they or their courier have it?

heres their ebay feedback page to help you get an idea of how good they are

and heres their stuff for sale

They told me I would get tracking and receipt from the courier - it will be insured. I think I will actually bite on their offer, since I´m having a hard time finding a non-scammer to actually buy my product, not trying to get me alone in the park at 11.30 PM with the laptop :)

THank you for your help!

you are welcome

had you been this side of dartford i probably would have gone for it but i absolutely hate driving in london--too stressfull

Yeah, I live at the Ealing broadway - and the traffic is intense from 5AM to 11PM - coming from a small town in Sweden doesn´t make it better either :D  ( 1 car per 20 minutes in rush hour )
