Windows 7 search just looks at mail

I just got a windows OS 7 Acer laptop. Nothing but problems with this OS 7 since I tried to install a NAS; but I digress. When I try to do a search from the 'start orb', my search results all end up with 'Live mail' results (live mail, whata joke) . What the k? Can anyone please tell me how to change this. I need this search capability to address the NAS issue I am having.

My ears are blowing smoke at this point. And Apple is starting to look less expensive now.

When you said search from the 'start orb' you mean the "search programs and files" serach box?

You are going to have to go into more detail, lets start with the NAS issue, have you tried throwing it into a homegroup?

What are you trying to search for that its not finding?
