primary hhd fails

hi,
when i somestimes open a program the pc restarts and i get a message saying primary hhd fails, till i restart the pc then it hhd works . what the problem ?? i used sisoftware sandara 2002 and it says my hhd settings are not good what that mean ?althought i have loaded the best settings in the bios. is there a utility to fix this??

Most of hard disk manufacturers offer their own utility to test their HDs. Use your HD's utility to check to see if it's still good.

Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
