There are plenty of large books on the subject. Do a web search "how to setup a LAN". Get a switch, plug in the computers into that switch, setup their IP addresses either manually or by using a DHCP server, and you have a LAN. In place of a switch, and for about the same cost, you can get a home Router which has DHCP capability built-in.
