Microsoft Visual C++ versions

When I open up my "Programs and Features" window, I see that I have so many Microsoft Visual C++ versions that it's getting pretty ridiculous. I think the fault is that every single Steam game always wants to install one version of it. Do I really need all of them or can I get rid of them somehow?

I see that the latest version is 2010 but I got 2 versions of that also, I also have like 8 versions of 2008.

I have them too. Without knowing exactly what DLL in the "Windows/System32/" directory they refer to, and what application depends on them, you can't just uninstall them.
